We have partnered with CodeHS to offer an incredible Computer Science Focus Program.
At Canadian Global School we believe that in the 21st century, coding is a foundational skill, just like reading and writing. That’s why we say: Read, Write, Code. We believe that everyone should get the chance to learn coding, and that it’s a skill that provides limitless creative opportunity to students. We want to help make computer science education fun and accessible, and believe you need both great tools as well as a great community to make this happen.
The four-year computer science pathway equips students with the foundational and applicable understanding of computer science that can be used in further pursuit of a computer science degree or in the workforce.
Courses include but are not limited to Data Science, Intro to Computer Science in JavaScript, Intro to Computer Science in Python, AP Computer Science Principles, AP Computer Science in Java and more.
Students will earn two AP level credits. Advanced Placement (AP) is a program in the United States and Canada created by the College Board which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. American colleges and universities may grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations.
Students will earn an embossed Computer Science Focus Certificate signed by the Principal and Director of Canadian Global School along with an embossed reference letter to include in their Portfolios.
